Toe Announce New EP and First Ever European Tour

Posted 4th Sep 2012 by Suzi

TOE

Japanese math rock band Toe will make their first ever trip to Europe this September, to coincide with the release of their new EP, ‘The Future Is Now’, via Big Scary Monsters Records (Minus The Bear, Tall Ships, Cursive).

Toe is composed of Kashikura Takashi on drums, Yamane Satoshi on bass, and Mino Takaaki and Yamazaki Hirokazu on guitar. Formed in 2000 they’ve spent the past decade building a huge online fanbase around the world based on their mostly instrumental music, with the swift and acute drumming of Takashi and their melodic, clean guitar settings at the core. Toe are well renowned back home in Japan for creating a thrilling, beautiful live sound incorporating acoustic guitars, rhodes piano and vibraphones, something they’re excited to debut in Europe later this month.

Their first album, ‘The Book About My Idle Plot On A Vague Anxiety’ was released in August 2005, followed in December 2009 by ‘For Long Tomorrow’.

‘The Future Is Now’ EP is released in the UK and Europe via Big Scary Monsters on October 1st, on CD and limited edition 10″ vinyl. A new album is scheduled for release in 2013. It can be pre-ordered now via www.bsmrocks.com
